!One of the cardstock charts lists another child, Alexander Wurts (a lawyer and Judge), d. 1881, who md. Mary Bonnell, and had no issue.
!The following is from, "The History of Greenup County, Kentucky," by Nina Mitchell Biggs and Mabel Lee Mackoy, 1951, p. 308-309. [Homeland obviously erroneous!] ... WURTS "The Wurts family came from Wurtenburg, Germany, and settled near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In 1847 three brothers, William, George, and Samuel Grandin Wurts came to Greenup County to engage in the furnace business. With them was Benjamin King, who had married Ann Wurts, a sister of the Wurts brothers. They built Pennsylvania Furnace in 1847 and Laurel Furnace in 1848. The family lived at Laurel, which they opperated for about twenty years. They sold Laurel Furnace to Robert and Thomas Scott, of Ironton. William Wurts went to Maysville [KY], where he married late in life. There were other members of the family also living at Maysville. George wurts married Mary Ann Peters of Ironton, Ohio, and settled at what was called the Fulton Oil Works. He bought the Hon. John McConnell farm and lived there until he died. The name Fulton was changed to Wurtland. Children of the George Wurts family were George, Rebecca Wallingford of Maysville, Mary Pelham Peters of Ironton, Sarah Russell of West Virginia, Alice Biggs of Wurtland, Ann, and John, who never married. Samuel Grandin Wurts married Matilda Cartwright. A daughter, Mary, married John Hamon Chinn, Jr., of Wurtland. Lilliy, another daughter, married William Walker, and Lucy married George Paull Walker, Jr., sons of George Paull Walker and Hellen Marr Nicholls. A daughter, Virginia (of the Walker family), married Joseph Savage of Wurtland. A decendant of the John Hamon Chinn family is Wurts Chinn, a merchant of Wurtland. Benjamin and Ann Wurts King were the parents of Samuel Grandin, Marinus, Maurice, Rebecca, Sarah, and Mary. Samuel Grandin married Caroline Poage Kinkead and they had a son, Benjamin, who is a resident of Fort Myers, Florida; Rebecca married William Biggs and lived at Mt. Zion (see William Biggs, Jr., family); Sarah married Richard Pritchard of Ironton. They moved to Gate City, Alabama, and she was killed in a cyclone. After her death Mr. Pritchard married her sister Mary King."
