!Notes from SueLong@@aol.com. Came from Hooren, a city on the Zyder Zee. He was a carpenter who helped strengthen the city wall of New Amsterdam in 1655. He later moved to land on the south side of None Such Creek, a tributary of the Christiana River in Delaware, and started to build a tide water mill, but died before it was completed. His widow moved back to New Amsterdam and married Laurens Andriesses Van Boskerk, the ancestor of the Van Buskirk family in Bucks Co., PA.
