"Henry III, King of England, born 1 October 1207, at Winchester, died 16 Nov 1272, at St. Edmundsbury, and was buried at Westminster Abbey. He was only nine years of age when his father died, and was crowned king, 28 October 1216. On 14 January 1236, he married Eleanor of Province, whose ancestry is set forth in Chapter 32. After his death Queen Eleanor took the veil at Ambresbury in Wiltshire and died there 24 June 1291. Their elder sons John and Henry died young and their third son became Edward I, King of England, No. 73, see Chapter 34. Their fourth son was...Edmund, styled "Crouchback"..."
